The Committee on Health and Human Resources moved to amend the bill on page 7, section 7, after line 19 by striking out lines 20-25 in their entirety and inserting in lieu thereof a new subsection to read as follows:

Executive sessions are limited to investigations of the following: child abuse and neglect, nursing home abuse and neglect, IDD waiver, adult protective services, child protective services, and hospital abuse and neglect.  Furthermore, the commission may conduct proceedings in a confidential executive session for the purpose of preparing, deliberating upon, approving, or rejecting a referral for criminal investigation, to the Commission on Special Investigations provided for under §4-5-1 et seq. of this code. Members of the staff of the commission may attend executive sessions.
